in the past one hour i have been reading blogs... FOOD blogs...
on SWEETS... CAKES... CUPCAKES...
making me hungry...
they look so good...

and i am so random...

My Holidays...

when i got back the second night we had steamboat...

also to celebrate ern ern's birthday...

visited doulos and bought lots of books...

and twas the season of durians...
loving it...


there are actually more... but have eaten them all...
the whole family have been eating durians like 3 nights in a row...
and will probably continue to do so when i go back...
until the durian season is over anyways...
oh... i so love durians...


and now...
to continue my packing...
bringing muffins and cookies and lots of other foods back...

haiz...
going to miss home really badly...
and mommy's cooking especially...

Mom's pancakes...

my mom asked me to make pancakes this morning, and this is what she told me to do...

ingredients...
1. how many eggs in the fridge???
if 4, then 2 each batch coz doing two batches...
if 6, then 3 each batch...
well... 6 is the limit, unless making a lot more...
2. water or milk or a combination of both...
3. all purpose flour or wholewheat flour or both...
4. sugar

method...
take a blender and put eggs in, then fill until halfway with water or milk or both...
then fill to the top with flour or wholewheat flour or both...
then top with 2 tablespoons of sugar...
and blend... till a thick kinda watery mixture is formed...
if after blending looks too watery, add more flour...
and then fry them...

this recipe is enough for my family...

a really cool recipe of my mom's...
its like no set amount of ingredients...
all roughly...
way cool...

well...
will make cupcakes and maybe cookies or cakes...

First Week of Holidays...

Hmm...
enjoying my holidays...
have been eating and eating and eating...
ahh...

but have also been baking lah...
yesterday baked some chocolate drop cookies...
mmm... those melt-in-your-mouth types...
but... alas... finished them in less than a day...
with all my sisters and such...

but today...
i baked a cappuccino cake...
my first in baking a cake...
its still in the oven though...
cant wait to try it...
ahh... should be good...
the mixture smelled like tiramisu...

oh well...
will speak of it soon after i try my first cake...

well...

first on the list... updates...
1. my dad is in sarikei, sarawak for my aunt 大母's funeral... not sure when though... i think my cousins from here also went back with my uncle 七叔...
2. my brother is in sandakan representing KK for high jump... i think, i'm not too sure coz i just found out yesterday from my sister...
3. my cousin, eldest 表姐, who i usually eat sunday lunch with, is now back in KK... ish...
4. my another cousin, 第二表姐, who is in perth studying nutrition, is also going back to KK soon... double ish...
5. i am suppose to start studying like 5 months ago... [banging head on wall]
6. i have like 45 days left to final exams... excluding weekends... [continue banging head on wall]

I HAVE TO STUDY......

yesterday i had cupcakes...
there was a bake sale cum charity sale on monday and tuesday... by the law society...
and there was cookies, cupcakes, brownies, 2nd hand clothes & earrings for sale...
well i did buy cookies...
but then i got distracted by another organisation who were selling cupcakes... i'm not sure if they were there legally or not... but they were definitely not from our uni... and dunno for charity or not...
anyways...
i bought their cupcakes... erm... delia please dont be angry...
and it was DELICIOUS...

but the law society ones were like going for rm 3 for 1...

long time no chocolate and cake liao... and this was in 1 shot...

Lunch

Well...
Joey and I got treated to lunch today......
again...
we are getting people to treat us before we leave...
although err......
how do i put it...
after we go to kl...
in less than 3 weeks...
we will be back for chinese new year...
hehe...
well... some say we are cruel...
but i say its a way of life...
haha... no lah...
just joking bah...

lets just say it was obvious that it has been on display for at least a day......

just that...
my mom's is definitely 1000% better...


then err...
matthew and david shared the chocolate fudge cake.....
it was hard as rock......
they had a hard time eating it...
i didn't get to try it...
oh well...
and melody just ate some of ours...

can't wait for the next meal...
